The campaign for which e2w slowly will be raising money is the ‘Driveway Safety Campaign’ being run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. This is all about raising awareness of the dangers to children of being crushed by vehicles on driveways and parking areas. At least 26 children have been killed on, or near, the driveways of their home since 2001. Seventeen of these accidents have occurred since 2007. Tragically, in most of these cases, an adult member of the child's family, a neighbour or a visitor to the house was driving the vehicle.
